Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.血管内に用いるためのグラフトであって: (a)血管の内径にほぼ相当する直径を有する第1の部分、すなわち大径部分 であって、血管内への挿入をしやすくするため外形を小さくすることができ且つ 所望のの位置にいったん位置付けられるとほぼ血管の直径にまで拡張することが できるよう、折り畳み可能な合成材料で形成された大径部分と; (b)前記大径部分に連結され、血管内への挿入をしやすくするため前記大径 部分の直径および血管の直径よりも小さなほぼ均一の直径を有する第2の部分、 すなわち小径部分であって、血管内に挿入された後に血管壁の直径まで半径方向 に拡張可能なよう、合成材料で形成された小径部分とを備えたグラフト。 2.血管に用いられるシステムにして、グラフトおよび拡張要素を含むシステ ムにおいて: 該グラフトが: (a)血管の直径にほぼ相当する直径と前記拡張要素よりも実質的に長い長さ とを有している第1の部分、すなわち大径部分であって、血管内への挿入をしや すくするため外形を小さくすることができ且つ所望の位置にいったん位置付けら れるとほぼ血管の直径にまで拡張することができるよう、折り畳み可能な合成材 料で形成された大径部分と; (b)前記大径部分に連結され、血管内への挿入をしやすくするため前記大径 部分の直径および血管の直径よりも小さな直径を有する第2の部分、すなわち小 径部分であって、血管内に挿入された後に、前記拡張要素を用いて当初の直径よ りも大きな直径まで半径方向に拡張可能なよう、拡張可能な合成材料で形成され た小径部分とを備えている:システム。 3.グラフトを血管内に挿入する方法であって: (a)請求項2に記載したシステムを提供する段階と; (b)前記小径部分が前記拡張要素の回りに位置付けられ且つ前記大径部分が 血管の直径よりも小さい外形にされるようにして、前記グラフトを位置付ける段 階と; (c)前記グラフトおよび前記拡張要素を血管内に挿入し且つグラフトを所望 の位置に配置する段階と; (d)前記拡張要素を用いて前記小径部分を半径方向に拡張する段階と; (e)前記拡張要素をつぶし、前記グラフトを血管内に残しながらも前記拡張 要素を血管から除去する段階と:を備える方法。 4.前記グラフトが、単一の合成材料からなる連続したチューブ状のものであ る、請求項1に記載のグラフトまたは請求項2に記載のシステム。 5.前記グラフトが、PTFE(ポリテトラフルオロエチレン)から作られて いる、請求項4に記載のグラフトまたはシステム。 6.前記グラフトの前記小径部分の長さが、前記大径部分の長さよりも短いも のとされている、請求項1に記載のグラフトまたは請求項2に記載のシステム。 7.前記グラフトの前記大径部分の長さは、病弊領域を覆うのに十分なものと され、該大径部分の端部は、病弊領域に隣接する血管の健康部分に係合するもの として選択される、請求項6に記載のグラフトまたはシステム。 8.拡張可能な金属製ステントが、合成材料部分に取り付けられ、且つ、前記 小径部分においてのみ延在している、請求項1に記載のグラフトまたは請求項2 に記載のシステム。 9.前記グラフトの前記小径部分が、該グラフトの端部にある、請求項1に記 載のグラフトまたは請求項2に記載のシステム。 10.第1および第2の小径部分が前記大径部分を間に挟むようにして配置され ている、請求項8に記載のグラフトまたはシステム。 11.前記グラフトが、一方の端部のみに小径部分を有している、請求項8に記 載のグラフトまたはシステム。 12.前記グラフトを血管内に搬送するためのシースをさらに含んでいる、請求 項2に記載のシステム。 13.前記拡張要素が膨張可能なバルーンである、請求項2に記載のシステム。 14.前記バルーンが血管形成バルーンである、請求項13に記載のシステム。 15.前記グラフトおよび前記拡張要素をガイドワイヤ上で搬送する段階を含む 、請求項3に記載の方法。 16.前記グラフトおよび前記拡張要素をシースを通して搬送する段階を含む、 請求項3に記載の方法。 17.前記拡張要素が膨張可能なバルーンである、請求項3に記載の方法。 18.血管に用いられるグラフトであって、該グラフトが、単一の合成材料でで きた連続したチューブ状の部材を備え: 該チューブ状の部材が: (a)血管の内径にほぼ相当する直径を有する第1の部分、すなわち大径部分 であって、該大径部分における合成材料が、血管内への大径部分の挿入をしやす くするため外形を小さくすることができ且つ所望の位置にいったん位置付けられ るとほぼ血管の直径にまで拡張することができるよう、折り畳み可能である、大 径部分と; (b)前記大径部分に連結され且つグラフトの端部を形成する第2の部分、す なわち小径部分であって、血管内への該小径部分の挿入をしやすくするため前記 大径部分の直径および血管の直径よりも小さなほぼ均一の直径を有しており、血 管内に挿入された後に血管壁の直径まで半径方向に拡張可能なよう、合成材料で 形成されるとともに、該小径部分においてのみ延在する拡張可能な金属製のステ ントを有している小径部分と;を有している、グラフト。 19.前記小径部分の長さは、前記大径部分の長さよりも短くされている、請求 項18に記載のグラフト。 20.第1および第2の小径部分が前記大径部分を間に挟むようにして配置され ている、請求項19に記載のグラフト。 21.前記グラフトが、一方の端部のみに小径部分を有している、請求項19に 記載のグラフト。 22.前記グラフトが、PTFE(ポリテトラフルオロエチレン)から作られて いる、請求項18ないし21のいずれかに記載のグラフト。 23.血管に使用されるグラフトを形成する方法であって: 単一の合成材料でできた連続したチューブにして、血管の直径より小さな直径 を有するチューブを提供する段階と; 前記チューブの長さより短い長さを有する拡張要素を前記チューブ内に挿入す る段階と; 前記拡張要素を拡張させて前記合成材料を半径方向に拡張させ、血管の内径に ほぼ相当する直径を有する第1の部分、すなわち大径部分であって、該大径部分 における合成材料が、血管内への挿入をしやすくするため外形を小さくすること ができ且つ所望の位置にいったん位置付けられるとほぼ血管の直径にまで拡張す ることができるよう、折り畳み可能とされている、大径部分と、前記大径部分に 連結され且つグラフトの端部を形成する第2の部分、すなわち小径部分であって 、血管内への挿入をしやすくするため前記大径部分の直径および血管の直径より も小さなほぼ均一の直径を有し、血管内に挿入された後に血管壁の直径まで半径 方向に拡張可能なよう直径よりも大きな直径まで半径方向に拡張可能なよう、拡 張可能な合成材料で形成された小径部分とを形成する段階と:を含む方法。 24.請求項23に記載されたプロセスによって形成された、血管に使用される グラフト。
