Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 水のような流動媒体内で間欠的に電流が給電される各電極間の火花放電に よって衝撃波を発生するための医療用、例えば、電気液圧式砕石術用衝撃波発生 用方法であって、その際、衝撃波は、体内の対象に集束される方法において、各 電極間の流動媒体内に、導電、半導電又は分極可能な各部片を挿入して、そこに 保持することを特徴とする方法。 2. 各部片は、数μm〜数百μmの大きさを有している請求の範囲第1項記載 の方法。 3. 各金属部片を使用する請求の範囲第1項又は第2項記載の方法。 4. アルミニューム製の各部片を使用する請求の範囲第3項記載の方法。 5. 流動媒体(14)は、そこに含まれる各部片(15)と一緒に被覆部(1 1)内に収容されており、該被覆部(11)は、各電極(3,4)を囲み、且つ 衝撃波を通過させるように構成されており、前記被覆部には、ガスを逃がすため の少なくとも一つの開口部(12,13)が設けられていることを特徴とする請 求の範囲第1項〜第4項記載の方法を実施するための装置。 6. 少なくとも一方の電極(3)の周囲に、シャッタ(16)が設けられてい る請求の範囲第5項記載 の装置。 7. シャッタ(16)は、ポリウレタン製である請求の範囲第6項記載の装置 。
