Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.回転するシールリング(3)の端面に向かう片寄せ力を受けているシール 要素(1)を有するシャフトシールであって、シールリング(3)またはシール 要素(1)の端面(4)がシール面(5)を有し、このシール面(5)がその一 方の縁部からシールリング(3)内の一つの境界へ延びる螺旋形の複数の溝(6 )を有しており、各溝(6)が、前記境界から延びていて前記溝(6)を二つの チャンネルに分割する分割仕切り(7)を有しているシャフトシールにおいて、 前記分割仕切り(7)が、前記溝(6)内の流体の流れの途絶を実質的に最小に するように、互いに鋭角をなして交差する二つの仕切り壁からなることを特徴と するシールリング。 2.分割仕切り(7)が実質的に楔形に作られている、請求項1記載のシャフ トシール。 3.分割仕切り(7)が二つだけの仕切り壁を有していて、一方の仕切り壁は 、溝(6)の一方の側方壁と境界の交差部から延びており、他方の仕切り壁は、 前記溝(6)の他方の側方壁と前記境界の交差部から延びている、請求項1また は2記載のシャフトシール。 4.分割仕切りが、シール面(5)の中で溝(6)を閉じていて、一方の仕切 り壁と一方の側方壁は、それら間に一つの鋭角を作るように交差しており、前記 他方の仕切り壁と前記他方の側方壁は、それら間に一つの鋭角を作るように交差 している、請求項3記載のシャフトシール。 5.仕切り壁、及び/または側方壁が湾曲している、請求項1〜4のいずれか 1項に記載のシャフトシール。 6.分割仕切りが、境界と第1の円弧及び第2の円弧の中に形成された楔を含 んでいて、第1の円弧は、一方の仕切り壁と一方の側方壁の交差点からシール面 (5)のエッジの近くの他方の側方壁へ延びており、第2の円弧は、前記の他方 の仕切り壁と前記他方の側方壁の交差点からシール面(5)のエッジの近くの前 記一方の側方壁へ延びている、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のシャフトシ ール。 7.シールリング(3)の外側エッジが直径DHの円であり、シールリング( 3)の内側エッジが直径DOの円であり、各々の溝の中で仕切り壁同志の交差は 直径DKの円の上で行われており、各々の溝の中で前記仕切り壁と側方壁の交差 は直径DBの円の上で行われており、それら円の関係は、 (i)溝(6)がシール面(5)の外側エッジから作られている場合には、 (DK−DB)/(DH−DB)= 0.2〜0.8、 (ii)溝(6)が回転するリング(3)はたは環状の要素(1)の内側直径の エッジから作られている場合には、 (DB−DK)/(DB−DO)= 0.2〜0.8 の式で決まる、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のシャフトシール。 8.シール面(5)の幅と、リング(3)または要素(1)の端面(4)全体 の幅が、 (iii)溝(6)がシール面(5)の外側エッジの端から作られている場合には (DB−DO)/(DH−DO)= 0.3〜0.5、 (iv)溝がシール面(5)の内側エッジから作られている場合には、 (DH−DB)/(DH−DO)= 0.3〜0.5 の式で決まる、請求項7記載のシャフトシール。 9.各々の溝(6)の各々の側方壁が、半径Rの円弧に沿って延びていて、そ のRは、(a)溝(6)がシール面(5)の外側エッジから延びている場合には 外側直径(DH)の半分、(b)溝がシール面(5)の内側エッジから延びてい る場合にはシール面(5)の内側直径の半分に等しく、なお、それら円弧の中心 は、直径Dの円の上にあり、そのDのシール面の外側直径DHとの関係は、 D/DH=0.25〜0.4 の式で決まる、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のシャフトシール。 10.シール要素(1)またはシール面(3)の、螺旋形の溝(6)を有する シール面が、半径方向の複数のガイドスロット(16)を含んでいて、これら半 径方向ガイドスロット(16)の各々の引っ込んだ壁は、シール面の内側または 外側のエッジから、シール面に対して鋭角をなすように延びている、請求項1〜 9のいずれか1項に記載のシャフトシール。
