Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.少なくとも1重量%の二色性染料を含み、そして1nmから5μmの厚み、400 nmから800nmのピーク吸収波長、および該ピーク吸収波長における25以上の二色 性比を有する、一軸配向フィルム。 2.10重量%から100重量%の二色性染料を含み、そして10nmから1μmの厚み、 400nmから800nmのピーク吸収波長、該ピーク吸収波長における35以上の二色性比 、および該ピーク吸収波長における40%から80%の透過度を有する、一軸配向フ ィルム。 3.90重量%から100重量%の二色性染料を含み、そして10nmから0.5μmの厚み 、および35以上の二色性比を有する、一軸配向フィルム。 4.バインダーポリマーと少なくとも10重量%の二色性染料との混合物を含み、 10nmから5μmの厚み、400nmから800nmのピーク吸収波長、および該ピーク吸収 波長における25以上の二色性比を有する、請求項1に記載の一軸配向フィルム。 5.前記染料が2以上のアスペクト比を有する、請求項1に記載の一軸配向フィ ルム。 6.ミクロパターン形成された染料含有フィルム体であって、少なくとも1重量 %の一軸配向された二色性染料を含み、そして1nmから5μmの厚み、400nmから 800nmのピーク吸収波長、および該ピーク吸収波長における10以上の二色性比を 有し、該ミクロパターンが、フィルム面において長さおよび幅を有し、該幅が1 μmから200μmである、フィルム体。 7.90重量%から100重量%の二色性染料から本質的になる、請求項6に記載の ミクロパターン形成された染料含有フィルム体。 8.バインダーポリマーと少なくとも1重量%の二色性染料との混合物を含む、 請求項6に記載のミクロパターン形成された染料含有フィルム体。 9.前記染料が2以上のアスペクト比を有する、請求項6に記載のミクロパター ン形成された染料含有フィルム体。 10.少なくとも1重量%の二色性染料を含むフィルム形成材料の一軸配向フィ ルムであって、該染料が400nmから800nmのピーク吸収波長を有し、該フィルムが 1nmから5μmの厚みを有し、該ピーク吸収波長における25以上の二色性比を有 し、そして該フィルム形成材料をフッ素樹脂アラインメント層上に堆積させるこ とによって形成される、一軸配向フィルム。 11.前記フッ素樹脂がPTFEである、請求項10に記載のフィルム。 12.少なくとも1重量%の一軸配向した二色性染料を含むフィルム形成材料の 、ミクロパターン形成された染料含有フィルム体であって、該染料が400nmから8 00nmのピーク吸収波長を有し、該フィルムが1nmから5μmの厚みを有し、該ピ ーク吸収波長における10以上の二色性比を有し、ミクロパターン幅が1μmから2 00μmであり、そして該フィルム形成材料をミクロパターン形成されたフッ素樹 脂アラインメント層上に堆積させることによって形成される、フィルム体。 13.少なくとも1重量%の二色性染料を含み、そして10nmから1μmの厚み、4 00nmから800nmのピーク吸収波長、該ピーク吸収波長における35以上の二色性比 、および該ピーク吸収波長における40%から80%の透過度を有する、フッ素樹脂 アラインメント層上の一軸配向フィルム。 14.ミクロパターン形成された染料含有フィルム体であって、少なくとも1重 量%の一軸配向された二色性染料を含み、そして1nmから5μmの厚み、400nmか ら800nmのピーク吸収波長、および該ピーク吸収波長における10以上の二色性比 を有し、該ミクロパターンが、フィルム面において長さおよび幅を有し、該幅が 1μmから200μmである、フッ素樹脂アラインメント層上のフィルム体。 15.一軸配向フィルムの製造方法であって、 a)少なくとも1重量%の二色性染料を含み、そして1nmから5μmの厚み、4 00nmから800nmのピーク吸収波長を有するフィルム形成材料から、フッ素樹脂ア ラインメント層上にフィルムを形成する工程であって、その結果、該ピーク吸収 波長における25以上の二色性比を有する一軸配向フィルムが得られる工程を包含 する、方法。 16.前記フィルム形成材料がさらにフィルム形成ポリマーを含む、請求項15 に記載の方法。 17.さらに、 b)前記アラインメント層からフィルムを剥がす工程、および c)該フィルムを支持基板に付与する工程 を包含する、請求項15に記載の方法。 18.ミクロパターン形成された染料含有フィルム体の製造方法であって、 a)少なくとも1重量%の一軸配向された二色性染料を含み、そして1nmから 5μmの厚み、400nmから800nmのピーク吸収波長を有するフィルム形成材料のフ ィルムを、フィルム面において1μmから200μmの所定の幅を有するフッ素樹脂 アラインメント層上に形成する工程であって、その結果、1μmから200μmの所 定の幅、および該ピーク吸収波長における10以上の二色性比を有する一軸配向フ ィルム体が得られる工程を包含する、方法。 19.さらに、 b)前記アラインメント層からフィルムを剥がす工程、および c)該フィルムを支持基板に付与する工程 を包含する、請求項18に記載の方法。 20.請求項1に記載の一軸配向フィルムを備えた平面を有する透明支持体を含 む、偏光板。 21.前記支持体がポリマーフィルムである、請求項20に記載の偏光板。 22.前記支持体がガラス板である、請求項20に記載の偏光板。 23.前記支持体が透明電極である、請求項20に記載の偏光板。 24.請求項10に記載の一軸配向フィルムを備えた平面を有する透明支持体を 含む、偏光板。 25.請求項6に記載のミクロパターン形成された染料含有一軸配向フィルム体 を備えた平面を有する透明支持体を含む、ミクロ偏光板。 26.前記支持体がポリマーフィルムである、請求項25に記載のミクロ偏光板 。 27.前記支持体がガラス板である、請求項25に記載のミクロ偏光板。 28.前記支持体が透明電極である、請求項25に記載のミクロ偏光板。 29.請求項12に記載のミクロパターン形成された染料含有一軸配向フィルム 体を備えた平面を有する透明支持体を含む、ミクロ偏光板。 30.液晶ディスプレイデバイスであって、 それぞれに電極を備えた1対の分離した透明基板、および該基板間に位置する ネマチック液晶層を備えた液晶セルであって、該ネマチック液晶層が正の誘電異 方性および該基板に対して垂直に配向したらせん軸を有し、そして電圧無印加時 に90°から270°のねじれ角で実質的に水平に配向する液晶セル、および 該液晶セルの透明電極に隣接して位置した請求項20に記載の偏光板 を備えた、液晶ディスプレイデバイス。 31.前記偏光板が前記セルの外側にある、請求項30に記載のディスプレイデ バイス。 32.前記偏光板が、前記液晶層と透明電極との間にある、請求項30に記載の ディスプレイデバイス。 33.液晶ディスプレイデバイスであって、 それぞれに電極を備えた1対の分離した透明基板、および該基板間に位置する ネマチック液晶層を備えた液晶セルであって、該ネマチック液晶層が正の誘電異 方性および該基板に対して垂直に配向したらせん軸を有し、そして電圧無印加時 に90°から270°のねじれ角で実質的に水平に配向する液晶セル、および 該液晶セルの透明電極に隣接して位置した請求項24に記載の偏光板 を備えた、液晶ディスプレイデバイス。 34.液晶ディスプレイデバイスであって、 それぞれに電極を備えた1対の分離した透明基板、および該基板間に位置する ネマチック液晶層を備えた液晶セルであって、該ネマチック液晶層が正の誘電異 方性および該基板に対して垂直に配向したらせん軸を有し、そして電圧無印加時 に90°から270°のねじれ角で実質的に水平に配向する液晶セル、および 該液晶セルの透明電極に隣接して位置した請求項25に記載のミクロ偏光板 を備えた、液晶ディスプレイデバイス。 35.前記偏光板が前記セルの外側にある、請求項33に記載のディスプレイデ バイス。 36.前記ミクロ偏光板が、前記液晶層と透明電極との間にある、請求項34に 記載のディスプレイデバイス。 37.液晶ディスプレイデバイスであって、 それぞれに電極を備えた1対の分離した透明基板、および該基板間に位置する ネマチック液晶層を備えた液晶セルであって、該ネマチック液晶層が正の誘電異 方性および該基板に対して垂直に配向したらせん軸を有し、そして電圧無印加時 に90°から270°のねじれ角で実質的に水平に配向する液晶セル、および 該液晶セルの透明電極に隣接して位置した請求項29のミクロ偏光板 を備えた、液晶ディスプレイデバイス。
