Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. ケーシング、負極端子、及び正極端子を備えた電池と、電池状態表示器 との組み合わせにおいて、前記状態表示器は、それ自体の起電力をほとんど持っ ていない電解セルを有し、この電解セルは、陰極、陽極、及び電解質を有し、前 記状態表示器は電気的に前記電池に永久的に接続されており、前記電解セルの前 記陰極及び陽極のうちの少なくとも一方は視認可能であり、前記電池の放電中、 前記視認可能な電極の第1領域で反応が開始し、そこから遠方の領域に向かって 反応が進行することを特徴とする、組み合わせ。 2. 前記状態表示器は、前記電解セルに電気的に直列に接続された補助セル をさらに有し、前記補助セルは前記電池とは別の電気化学セルであり、前記補助 セルは、陰極、陽極、及び前記補助セルの陰極及び陽極の少なくとも一部と接触 する電解質を有し、前記電池は、前記補助セルの陽極に電気的に接続された電池 の正極端子、又は前記補助セルの陰極に電気的に接続された電池の負極端子のい ずれかで補助セルに電気的に接続されている、請求項1に記載の組み合わせ。 3. 前記電解セルの陰極及び陽極が同じ電気化学的活性材から構成されてい る、請求項1に記載の組み合わせ。 4. 前記電解セルの陰極及び陽極は、前記電解セルの陰極が前記電解セルの 陽極のどの部分とも重ならないように横方向に間隔が隔てられている、請求項1 に記載の組み合わせ。 5. 前記電解セルの陰極及び陽極が両方とも銀からなっている、請求項1に 記載の組み合わせ。 6. 前記電池状態表示器の厚さが約2.5mm(100ミル)以下である、請 求項1に記載の組み合わせ。 7. 前記状態表示器の厚さが約0.05ないし0.4mm(2ないし15ミル ) である、請求項1に記載の組み合わせ。 8. 前記補助セルの陽極が前記電池の正極端子に電気的に接続されており、 前記補助セルの陰極が前記電解セルの陽極に電気的に接続されており、前記電解 セルの陰極が前記電池の負極端子に電気的に接続されている、請求項2に記載の 組み合わせ。 9. 前記補助セルの陰極が前記電池の負極端子に電気的に接続されており、 前記補助セルの陽極が前記電解セルの陰極に電気的に接続されており、前記電解 セルの陽極が前記電池の正極端子に電気的に接続されている、請求項2に記載の 組み合わせ。 10. 前記状態表示器が前記電池のラベルと一体化されている、請求項1に 記載の組み合わせ。 11. 電気化学セル用の状態表示器において、前記状態表示器の厚さは2. 5mm(100ミル)以下であり、それ自体の起電力をほとんど持っていない電解 セルを有し、この電解セルは、陰極、陽極、及び電解質を有し、この電解質は前 記陰極及び陽極の両方の少なくとも一部と電気的に接触しており、前記陰極及び 陽極のうちの一方の少なくとも一部が視認可能であり、電解セルでの電気分解中 、反応がまず最初に前記視認可能な電極の領域で開始し、この領域から遠隔の領 域まで連続することを特徴とする状態表示器。 12. 前記陰極及び陽極が互いに横方向に間隔が隔てられており、前記陰極 には前記陽極と重なる部分がなく、前記電解セルでの電気分解中、前記陰極のク リアリングが前記陰極の前記陽極に最も近い端部から起こる、請求項11に記載 の状態表示器。 13. 前記状態表示器の厚さが約0.05ないし0.4mm(2ないし15ミ ル)である、請求項11に記載の状態表示器。 14. 前記陰極及び陽極が同じ電気化学的活性材からなっている、請求項1 に記載の状態表示器。 15. 前記陰極及び陽極が両方とも銀からなっている、請求項11に記載の 状態表示器。 16. 前記電解セルが、前記陰極の側部と接触する導電性基材をさらに有す る、請求項11に記載の状態表示器。 17. 前記電解セルがその電解質上に保護フィルムをさらに有し、前記陰極 の少なくとも一部が前記保護フィルム及び前記電解質を通して視認可能である、 請求項12に記載の状態表示器。 18. 前記電解セルが、前記陰極の側部と接触する透明な導電性基材をさら に有し、前記陰極の少なくとも一部が前記透明な導電性基材を通して視認可能で ある、請求項11に記載の状態表示器。 19. 前記透明な導電性基材がイリジウム−錫酸化物からなっている、請求 項18に記載の状態表示器。 20. 前記電解質が銀トリフルオロメタンスルホニルイミドからなっている 、請求項15に記載の状態表示器。
