Description of the Related Art In continuous casting, molten metal is stored in a tundish 4 located above a mold of a continuous casting machine, and molten metal is injected into the mold at a speed according to casting conditions. The injection speed is adjusted by the tundish stopper 1, and the flow of the molten metal into the mold is adjusted by changing the distance between the immersion nozzle 3 and the fitting portion 6.
FIG. 2 shows the relationship between the tundish stopper 1 set in the tundish 4 and the immersion nozzle 3 for injection. The lower end of the sleeve 11 is called a stopper head 12 and has a hemispherical or spindle shape so that the flow rate can be easily adjusted. On the other hand, the fitting part 6 of the immersion nozzle 3 is also hemispherical or spindle-shaped, like the stopper head 12.

It is made of carbon-containing refractory material such as gO-C.
A carbon-containing refractory material has high spall resistance due to low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity, which are characteristics of carbon, but has a defect of poor oxidation resistance and abrasion resistance. Actually, with the inflow of the molten metal in the continuous casting, the fitting portion 6 is worn away by the molten metal and chemically reacted with various components (eg, [Ca] [Mn] [Cr]) in the molten metal. It penetrates into the refractory material, weakens the tissue, and causes wear. In addition, in the inflow amount adjusting unit 7 accompanying the inflow of the molten metal, a part where the pressure is reduced is generated.
0% by weight of carbon is remarkably oxidized and worn. Due to the above-mentioned problems during casting, the inflow amount adjusting portion 7 of the immersion nozzle fitting portion 6 in a hemispherical or spindle shape impairs the shape so that the flow rate can be easily adjusted. The operation cannot be performed, and the casting itself cannot be performed. In terms of the quality of the molten metal, a problem has arisen in that the refractory material that has been worn cannot be satisfied with predetermined quality conditions because the refractory material is mixed into the molten metal.

Frequent changes. As a countermeasure, ZrO 2 -C material, in which carbon which is relatively chemically stable with respect to [Ca] in steel is reduced to 20% by weight or less, is used. It has not been possible to prevent the [Ca] component in the steel from penetrating into the inside of the refractory material due to wear and thereby weakening the structure and further causing wear.

Regarding the oxidation resistance, since the fitting portion 6 is exposed to a high-temperature and weakly oxidizing atmosphere for a long time due to the preheating of the immersion nozzle 3 performed simultaneously with the preheating of the tundish performed before casting, the carbon in the material is reduced. Oxidation wear may occur. The wear resistance of the carbon-containing refractory material is low because the hardness of carbon itself is low. The present invention has been made in order to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an immersion nozzle which has high oxidation resistance and abrasion resistance and enables stable inflow adjustment.

(1) A ceramic sprayed film 2 made of zirconia or spinel is formed by plasma spraying on a hemispherical or spindle-shaped inflow adjusting portion 7 of the immersion nozzle fitting portion 6. (2) Plasma spraying is performed on ceramics from 15000 to 2
It is melted by a flame torch at an extremely high temperature of 0000 ° C. and welded to a carbon-containing refractory material as a base material. At this time, the ceramic of the thermal spray material is in a liquid phase, and penetrates into minute irregularities on the surface of the thermal sprayed object to form a thermal spray film 2 having high adhesive strength. (3) The thickness of the thermal spray coating 2 is desirably 100 to 1000 microns. If the thickness is less than 100 microns, the film strength is insufficient and the film tends to peel off due to mechanical impact. At a thickness of 1000 microns or more, the spall resistance of the sprayed film 2 itself is reduced,
Easy to peel off against thermal shock. (4) The ceramic sprayed film 2 is desirably made of ZrO 2 or spinel of 10% by weight or less of CaO. CaO 10
The ZrO 2 quality of not more than weight% is because ZrO 2 itself has high hardness and is relatively chemically stable to [Ca] in steel. The reason why the content of CaO is set to 10% by weight or less is that ZrO 2 partially stabilized by CaO has stable thermal expansion characteristics and high spall resistance. or,
If the content is 10% by weight or more, the reactivity with [Ca] in the steel increases, and the corrosion resistance is insufficient. Spinel is used because of its high hardness. (5) The object to be sprayed (the nozzle body for continuous casting) contains 5 to 30% by weight of carbon, and at least one or more refractory materials such as alumina, magnesia, zirconia, spinel, and silica are used as other inorganic materials. Is desirable. The reason why the carbon content of the object to be sprayed is 5% by weight or more is that if it is 5% by weight or less, the spall resistance of the immersion nozzle 3 itself is insufficient. Further, the reason why the carbon content is set to 30% by weight or less is that if the carbon content is 30% by weight or more, the strength of the immersion nozzle 3 itself is insufficient and cannot withstand the casting of the actual machine. (6) The ceramic spraying of the present invention can be applied to either the integrated immersion nozzle 3 inserted in the tundish 4 or the split type tundish upper nozzle controlled by injection flow by a sliding nozzle.

In the continuous casting of steel, a description will be given of a two-strand type bleed CC in which the adjustment of molten steel injection amount is controlled using a tundish stopper in comparison with a conventional product. As shown in FIG.
Partially stabilized ZrO containing 3% CaO having a length of 60 mm and a thickness of 350 microns in the submerged nozzle fitting portion 6 of the strand A
2 was sprayed in advance, while 2 strands B were compared without spraying. The object to be sprayed (the nozzle body for continuous casting) was made of ZrO 2 —SiC—C for both the first and second strands. In a Ca-added steel having 25 to 30 ppm of [Ca] in the steel, the rate of change of the stopper opening after casting for 600 minutes and the amount of wear at the molten steel adjusting portion of the head were measured. Table 1 shows the casting conditions, and Table 2 shows the test conditions and results. As a result, in the conventional type, the wear of the immersion nozzle fitting portion 6 was large, resulting in poor stopping after casting for 600 minutes. On the other hand, in the type of the present invention in which the partially stabilized ZrO 2 of 3% by weight of CaO was sprayed, the opening degree of the stopper was stable, and the immersion nozzle fitting portion was not worn at all.

CaO
The reason why the ZrO 2 quality is 10% by weight or less is that ZrO 2 itself has high hardness and is relatively chemically stable to [Ca] in steel. The reason why the content of CaO is set to 10% by weight or less is that Zr partially stabilized by CaO is used.
This is because O 2 has stable thermal expansion characteristics and can obtain high spall resistance. On the other hand, if the content is 10% by weight or more, the reactivity with [Ca] in steel increases, and the corrosion resistance is insufficient.
The reason why the carbon content of the object to be sprayed is 5% by weight or more is that if it is 5% by weight or less, the spall resistance of the nozzle 3 itself is insufficient. Further, the reason why the carbon content is set to 30% by weight or less is that if the carbon content is 30% by weight or more, the strength of the nozzle 3 itself is insufficient and the nozzle 3 cannot withstand casting. (6) The ceramic spraying of the present invention is applied to both the integrated immersion nozzle 3 inserted in the tundish 4 or the split type tundish upper nozzle in which the injection flow is controlled by a sliding nozzle or a stopper. be able to. Also, the nozzle fitting part is the same as the head of the stopper.
Whether or not a sprayed film is formed on the nozzle surface where it contacts
May be provided on the entire surface of the nozzle.
