However, in this type of conventional heat exchanger, as shown in FIGS. 13A and 13B, the heat exchange tubes b and d and the insertion holes c and e are formed. Due to the close contact, for example, in a heat exchanger used as an evaporator, if the drainage of the plate-like fins a is poor, as shown in FIG. 14, the dew condensation water f stays between the plate-like fins a. As a result, there is a problem that the ventilation resistance increases, the air volume decreases, and the capacity is reduced. Also,
In a heat exchanger used for an outdoor unit such as a heat pump or a room air conditioner, during the winter heating operation, there is a possibility that the dew condensation water f staying between the plate-like fins a freezes. The amount of heat of fusion increased, causing a delay in the defrosting time.

The dew water remaining between the fins can flow in the longitudinal direction of the heat exchange tube through the gap, increasing the volume of the water droplets of the dew water flowing, and increasing the gravity acting on the water droplets to form dew condensation on the plate fins. It can drop downward beyond the restraining force due to the capillary phenomenon generated between water. Therefore,
The ventilation resistance between the plate-like fins can be reduced, and the air volume can be increased, so that the heat exchange efficiency can be improved. Further, in the heat exchanger used as the outdoor unit of the heat pump / room air conditioner, the dew condensation staying between the plate-shaped fins during the heating operation in winter can drop downward as described above, so that the dew condensation can be frozen. Can be suppressed, the amount of heat of fusion of freezing of the dew condensation can be reduced, and the defrosting time can be shortened.
