Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid transmission of vibration to skater's legs at the time of braking, by installing a shock absorbing member between the load bearing structure and the pad in the in-line type roller skates having a brake pad and a load bearing structure to which the pad is fitted. SOLUTION: The in-line type roller skates are fitted to the wheel fittings for front/rear wheels, having a brake at the rear side. This brake includes a load bearing structure 5 to where the brake pad 6 is fitted. This load bearing structure 5 is provided with two arms 5a and 5b connected to the structure via a curved wall 5c to form a U-shape. Each arm 5a and 5b is fitted to each free end in a joint fashion with the rear wheel shaft as a center which is then fixed to the wheel fittings via a fixing member, respectively. The shock absorbing member 15 is inserted into between the load bearing structure 5 and the pad 6. This has a layer 16 provided with the surfaces 17a and 17b facing each other, forming a U-shape together with the arms 18a and 18b.
