Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress leakage electromagnetic waves by providing a spongy core material, a magnetic substance inserted into the core material, and a sheet- like dielectric sheet covering a periphery of the core material. SOLUTION: A gasket for blocking electromagnetic waves, shown in Figures (a) and (b) comprises a sponge 2, a plate-like magnetic substance 1 inserted into the sponge 2, and a sheet-like conductive cloth 3 covering a periphery of the sponge 2. The sponge 2 is molded by elastic foaming material of a predetermined shape. After conductive substance of magnetic powder is mixed with the foaming material, it is foam molded. When the foam molding is used, electromagnetic wave-attenuating characteristics are further improved. Since the gasket for blocking the electromagnetic waves is added with the substance 1, attenuating action with respect to jamming of the electromagnetic waves is increased.
