Typically, this microlens sheet is a sheet in which unit lenses are periodically arranged. However, ambient light from indoor lighting or outdoor sunlight around the display device may be reflected on the viewing surface, and a microlens sheet alone is not necessarily sufficient to obtain a high-quality image. Therefore, to prevent reflection of ambient light and obtain a higher-quality image, a microlens sheet is used in combination with a matrix containing carbon black as a light-blocking agent (hereinafter referred to as a black matrix).
