2. Description of the Related Art In an electrophotographic image forming apparatus,
A toner image is formed on a photoreceptor drum, or a toner image is formed on a belt photoreceptor, and is transferred onto a recording paper and fixed. The belt photoreceptor is stretched between a plurality of rollers and driven to rotate. However, the shape of the belt photoreceptor to be stretched is freely selected depending on the positional relationship of the rollers to be arranged. A belt photoreceptor is used for the purpose of ensuring the separation of the recording paper after the transfer.

In order to replace or clean the belt photoreceptor with a new one, a belt photoreceptor cartridge is mounted or removed from an image forming apparatus main body. At this time, it is desired that the cartridge casing that supports the belt photoreceptor and the like be formed integrally from the viewpoint of reducing the work process. However, since the cartridge casing has a considerable size, the cartridge casing is easily distorted. When a belt photoreceptor or the like is loaded in such a cartridge casing and is mounted on an image forming apparatus, distortion remains even in the mounted state, causing the belt photoreceptor to be displaced, or the belt photoreceptor and the developing device However, there is a problem that it is difficult to accurately maintain the positional relationship accuracy such as above.

In the above-described color image forming apparatus, the belt photoreceptor cartridge, which will be described later, is mounted on the main body of the apparatus, thereby preventing the belt photoreceptor from being shifted. The developing gap Dsd formed between each developing sleeve 231 and the developing gap 231 is maintained within a high-precision variation range of ± 20 μm or less over the entire area of the developing sleeve 231 at a set gap of 500 to 600 μm suitable for non-contact development. According to the study by the present inventor, it has been confirmed that if the accuracy is maintained within the variation range of the accuracy with respect to the set developing gap Dsd, it is possible to develop a good toner image without unevenness. It has been confirmed.

In the belt photoreceptor 10 on which image formation is performed, the belt is stretched to a substantially flat shape by the tension between the above eight contact points, and the tension by the tension roller 14 also rises. Is set to a condition that does not exist. In this way, the resistance at the time of rotation of the belt photoconductor 10 is reduced, the slip at the contact portion between the drive roller 11 and the belt photoconductor 10 is eliminated, and the belt photoconductor 1 is driven at a constant speed.
0 is rotated so that the toner image to be superimposed is not displaced, and the developing gap Dsd is accurately and constantly maintained as follows.

sd. At a predetermined position, the lower protrusion 152A (152B) is in the guide groove 552A (5
52B), a stop position is defined by contacting at three places corresponding to the groove rising portion and the groove end portion on both sides, and the upper protrusion 151A is formed.
(151B) abuts at two locations at the rising portions on both sides of the guide groove 551A (551B) and protrudes 152A (152).
The position of the belt photoreceptor cartridge 100 is regulated by defining the rotation angle around B). Further, at a predetermined mounting position of the belt photoreceptor 100, a gear 11G attached to the drive roller 11 meshes with a drive gear 500G provided on the apparatus main body side, and power transmission from the apparatus main body side is performed during image formation. The belt photoreceptor 10 rotates clockwise to form an image. FIG. 8B shows the driving gear 500G and the gear 11G in an engaged state. The gear 11G is located in the upper left direction with respect to the driving gear 500G, and the driving gear 500G rotates counterclockwise. As a result, a component force in the direction indicated by the arrow F acts at the time of image formation, and the belt photoreceptor cartridge 100 does not float in the apparatus main body, and stable image formation is performed. In the present embodiment, a cover member (not shown) is provided at the upper part of the apparatus main body. By closing the cover member after mounting the belt photoreceptor cartridge 100, the belt photoreceptor cartridge 100 is moved downward by a spring member. It has a structure that can be held down.

In the belt photoreceptor cartridge 100 of this embodiment, the guide groove 552A (552B), which is a long groove, is elastically slid on the groove rising portion in order to ensure the operation of loading and unloading the apparatus main body. Sliding contact member 1
58 is provided on the belt photoreceptor cartridge 100.
FIG. 8C shows the slide contact member 158 taken out. In the process of inserting the belt photoreceptor cartridge 100 into the apparatus main body, the guide groove 552A in which the positioning projection 152A (152B) is formed linearly. In the process of moving along (552B), the frictional force of the sliding contact member 158 acts to prevent the belt photoreceptor cartridge 100 from being dropped and damaged even if the hand is released during insertion. When the positioning protrusion 152A (152B) reaches the bent guide path of the guide groove 552A (552B), the contact of the sliding contact member 158 with the groove rising portion is released, and the sliding contact member 158 is moved to a predetermined mounting position without frictional force. The belt photoreceptor cartridge 100 is located.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, two or more positioning portions are provided on both side plates of the casing, and the belt photoreceptor cartridge is mounted along the guides of the apparatus main body. With such a configuration, distortion of the entire casing, which is caused when the cartridge follows the guide, is eliminated, so that the cartridge becomes a proper shape and is mounted on the apparatus, and the belt photoconductor also shifts. In addition, the positional accuracy between the belt photoreceptor and the developing device can be ensured accurately, and good image formation can be achieved.
