Tungsten, brass or the like, which is formed of a material having a higher specific gravity than the face plate and integrated, or a weight member made of a material having a higher specific gravity than the material forming the head on a back member corresponding to the back surface of the face member of the head The attached ones are seen. In some wood heads, a sole member constituting the bottom surface of the head is formed of a material having a higher specific gravity than the other members, and both are joined and fixed.

Therefore, the material forming the head body member and the face member, the material forming the sole member and the head body member, or the weight member attached to the head are made of different metal materials.

That is, when the above members are joined using various joining members that are separate members, for example, in order to attach the face member to the head body member, the face member is inserted into the insertion recess in the face portion of the head body member. When both are fixed using a coupling member such as a screw, not only the number of parts and the number of steps are increased, but also the aesthetic appearance is impaired because the screw appears on the face surface of the completed head.

If the two are fitted by press-fitting or a caulked portion is formed on the periphery of the member, and the two are fitted and joined and fixed by caulking, the two are not necessarily in close contact with each other. There is a possibility that a gap may be formed between the two members due to a shock at the time or the face member may be peeled off.

If it is, it is difficult to melt weld, it is difficult to obtain sufficient welding strength,
The appearance was unfavorable because the weld bead that appeared on the surface remained even after finishing polishing.

A golf club, wherein a metal surface treatment layer is formed by a treatment method, another head member separately molded is joined to the metal surface treatment layer, and the two are joined and integrated by melting a brazing member. Head. The brazing member is a metal that melts at a temperature lower than the melting point of the member to be joined, has good wettability with the face member to be joined, and further wets with the metal alloy material constituting the metal surface treatment layer. Both of them are most preferable, and are selected from materials which do not cause embrittlement of a joint portion through a joining process.
Further, the metal alloy material constituting the metal surface treatment layer is also selected from materials having good wettability with the head body member.

Should be formed. For example, when the face member 4 is made of an amorphous alloy material and the head body member 2 is made of pure titanium or a titanium alloy material, the wettability between the amorphous alloy material and the brazing member 7 is relatively good. Since there is room for improvement in wettability with the pure titanium or titanium alloy material that is the main body member 2, first, a metal material that has good adhesion to pure titanium or the titanium alloy material and has good wettability with the brazing member is used. By forming the metal surface treatment layer 7 on the surface of the head main body member 2 by using the above, the wettability between the metal surface treatment layer 6 and the brazing member 7 is good.
Inevitably, the face member 4 and the head body member 2 can be more securely and firmly joined.

It is desirable that the thickness be about 15 μm. When sputtering is used as the metal surface treatment, the thickness of the metal surface treatment layer is desirably about 0.5 μm to 10 μm. In particular, considering mass productivity, 0.5 μm
Although it can be carried out even with a thickness of the order, a metal surface treatment layer having a thickness of about 2 μm to 10 μm is preferable from the viewpoint of durability such as strength and adhesion. In addition, it is desirable that the metal surface treatment layer according to the present invention has a thickness of about 2 μm to 10 μm from the viewpoint of durability such as strength and adhesion.

The material used is any one of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, stainless steel, pure titanium or a titanium alloy, a nickel alloy, and an amorphous alloy. In particular, when the face member 4 is formed separately from another material, the face member 4 is used. It is desirable to use a material having a lower specific gravity than the head main body member 2. Similarly, a head member 2A used below or behind the head main body member 2 has a specific gravity lower than that of the head main body member 2. It is desirable to use heavy materials.

Of course, a brazing solvent is used to float on the surface of the molten metal and to improve the flow of the brazing member. Examples of the brazing solvent include hydrochloric acid, ammonium chloride, resins such as pine resin and cedar resin, zinc chloride, alcohol solutions such as sodium phosphate and ammonium phosphate, borax, boric acid, cryolite, cuprous oxide, Sodium chloride, and other suitable compounds such as lithium chloride, potassium chloride, hydrofluoric acid, potassium fluoride, sodium fluoride, lithium fluoride, aluminum fluoride, beryllium fluoride, silver chloride, sodium hydroxide, etc. Can do that.

Since it is intended to be joined and fixed via a brazing member, the head body member and the head member to be joined can be joined and integrated almost without being softened or melted, so that the strength of the finished golf club head is strong, The present invention has the effect of providing a golf club head as designed with less distortion and good dimensional accuracy without lowering the hardness. or,
Since the brazing member has good compatibility with each member to be joined and is selected and disposed with a high strength of the brazing member itself, sufficiently strong joining can be performed even if the joining gap between the members is narrow. Further, by setting the surface treatment thickness to an appropriate thickness, it is possible to prevent breakage in the surface treatment member and to improve compatibility with the brazing member.
