However, in such a conventional molding method, the sheet 3 is molded in a state close to a solid state. From this, the food container 2 as a product usually has an air bubble structure formed inside. However, as a result of the sheet 3 being stretched in a state close to the solid phase at the time of molding, the air bubbles inside the food container 2 are also drawn. It will be in an extended state.

The material sheet 12 is formed by such a forming apparatus 11 in the following steps. That is, the material sheet 12 unwound from the raw material is first supplied into the oven 14 and preheated to a predetermined temperature. This is to soften the material sheet 12 in order to perform the molding with the presses 15 and 16 satisfactorily. Then, the preheated material sheet 12 is successively applied to the presses 15 and 16.
And are formed by the presses 15 and 16. Thereafter, the formed material sheet 17 is cut by the cutting machine 18 to obtain a food container 30 as a final product.

The material sheet 12 includes the base sheet 32 (polypropylene resin foam sheet) as described above, and the base sheet 32 has bubbles inside. For this reason, a temperature difference occurs between the surface temperature and the internal temperature of the material sheet 12 at the time of preheating. However, experimentally, even if the surface temperature is increased to 200 ° C., there is no problem in molding. As means for heating the molds 19 and 20,
Although not shown in FIG. 3, a known heater or the like can be installed in the dies 19 and 20. Further, although not shown in FIG. 3, for example, by installing a non-contact radiation thermometer near the outlet of the oven 14,
2 can control the surface temperature.

FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing a state where the molds 19 and 20 are opened, and FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram showing a state where the molds are clamped. With reference to these figures, according to the molding apparatus 11, the material sheet 12 fed between the dies 19 and 20 (see FIG. 4) is molded by the dies 19 and 20 (see FIG. 4). Accordingly, even if the material sheet 12 is pulled during the mold clamping and a temporary stress is generated, the base sheet 32
Is softened to a state close to a molten state, and then this stress is relaxed. That is, it is possible to minimize occurrence of residual stress in the formed base sheet 32. Further, even when the base sheet 32 is pulled at the time of mold clamping and the internal air bubbles are temporarily expanded, the air bubbles can thereafter return to a favorable state close to a spherical shape.

In the molding operation by the molding device 11, it is possible to prevent the base material sheet 32 from being cooled during the molding and from being in the solid state.

Therefore, as described above, even if the material sheet 12 is pulled during the mold clamping and a temporary stress is generated, the stress is sufficiently relaxed to prevent the residual stress from being generated in the formed base sheet 32. It is possible to further eliminate the bubbles, and it is possible to reliably return the temporarily expanded internal bubbles to a favorable state close to a spherical shape.

Since the temperature is set in the range of 0 ° C. to 200 ° C., the base sheet 32 is not completely in a molten state, thereby making it possible to avoid the drawdown phenomenon of the material sheet 12 during molding.

If the temperature is set to be higher than 100 ° C., the material sheet 12 is not cooled after molding, and it is difficult to perform good mold release. Further, since the best molding operation can be performed when the surface temperature of the material sheet 12 is in the range of 170 ° C. to 190 ° C., it is preferable to set the surface temperature of the material sheet 12 to such a temperature range.

As described above, when the food container 30 is manufactured by the molding device 11, the internal bubble structure is made almost spherical without causing any residual stress inside the food container 30. An internal structure as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 can be realized.

Further, the design of the molding apparatus 11 can be changed as follows. That is, in the molding apparatus 11, the molds 19 and 20 are all made of metal, but the convex portions 24 of the male mold 19 can be made of synthetic resin. As the synthetic resin, for example, a urethane-based synthetic resin containing a filler can be employed. This synthetic resin has excellent heat resistance and a thermal conductivity of 0.12.
It is kcal / mh ° C. and has a lower thermal conductivity than metal materials such as aluminum. By making such a design change, the thermal conductivity of the convex portion 24 of the mold 19 can be reduced, and the material sheet 12 is interposed between the mold 19 and a member having low thermal conductivity. Will be molded. Therefore, it is possible to more effectively prevent the preheated material sheet 12 from being rapidly cooled during molding, and as a result, even if the material sheet 12 is pulled at the time of molding, the base material sheet after molding is removed. The generation of residual stress in the base sheet 32 can be further eliminated, and the shape of the bubbles inside the base sheet 32 can be made closer to a sphere.

The synthetic resin used for the projections 24 is a filler-containing urethane-based synthetic resin having a thermal conductivity of 0.12 kcal / mh ° C. In addition to using a synthetic resin on the male mold 19 side, a synthetic resin can be used on the female mold 20 side. In short, it is only necessary that a material having low thermal conductivity can be interposed when the material sheet 12 is formed.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the shape of the air bubbles inside the food container is made almost spherical, and the number of the air bubbles close to the spherical shape is determined by the total air bubbles in the unit area of the cross section of the base material sheet. When the number is 50% or more, appropriate heat insulating properties of the food container can be ensured, and heat resistance can be improved. That is, by setting the heat insulating property of the food container to an appropriate one, when performing retort treatment using the food container, for example, it is possible to perform sufficient retort treatment by applying sufficient heat to the inside,
By ensuring sufficient heat resistance, the food container itself does not become too hot even when reheating is performed in a microwave oven or the like. Furthermore, the fact that the bubble shape inside the food container is close to spherical means that no residual stress is generated inside, so that when reheating with a microwave oven or the like, the food container does not deform. .
