上記算出された制御量偏差が所定の許容範囲内にあるか否か判定する判定手段と上記偏差が許容範囲を越えている場合に上記算出された制御量偏差を補正するための操作手段を選択する選択手段と上記選択された操作手段によって上記画質をテスト調整することにより操作手段の操作量に対する制御量偏差の感度を検出する感度検出手段と上記検出した感度に応じて上記対応する操作手段の調整操作量を決定する操作量決定手段と上記決定した操作量に応じて上記対応する操作手段を作動させ上記偏差を補正する手段とを有する制御手段と、

上記現像手段により上記像担持体上に現像された高濃度のテストパターンに対する現像剤の付着量の高濃度部と低濃度のテストパターンに対する現像剤の付着量の低濃度部とを計測する現像剤付着量計測手段と、
前記高濃度部および前記低濃度部の付着量に対する目標値を設定する設定手段と、上記設定手段により設定された前記高濃度部および前記低濃度部の付着量に対する目標値と、前記高濃度部および前記低濃度部の現像剤の付着量とにより、前記高濃度部および前記低濃度部の偏差を算出する偏差算出手段と、
上記算出手段により算出された前記高度部と前記低濃度部の偏差が許容範囲内であるか否かを判定する判定手段と上記偏差が許容範囲を越えている場合に第1および第2の印加手段から上記検出された偏差を補正するための印加手段を選択する選択手段と上記選択された印加手段によって上記グリッドバイアス値あるいは現像バイアス値をテスト調整することにより印加手段の調整操作量に対する制御量偏差の感度を検出する感度検出手段と上記検出した感度に応じて上記対応する印加手段の調整操作量を決定する操作量決定手段と上記決定した操作量に応じて上記対応する印加手段によりグリッドバイアス値あるいは現像バイアス値を調整して前記高濃度部および前記低濃度部の偏差に対するコントラスト電圧および背景電圧を補正する手段とを有し全ての偏差が許容範囲に収束するまで上記判定、操作手段の選択、感度検出、操作量決定、および補正を繰り返す制御手段と、

上記画像データの単位画素当りの階調データに対し、単位画素当りの発光時間を発光時間補正情報に基づき補正する発光時間補正手段と、
上記発光時間補正手段で補正された発光時間情報に基づき単位画素当りのパルス幅として上記露光手段の変調制御を行なう変調制御手段と、
上記現像剤付着量計測手段で計測された前記高濃度部および前記低濃度部の各計測値と予め設定されるそれぞれの目標値との偏差をそれぞれ算出する偏差算出手段と、
上記偏差算出手段で算出された各偏差がそれぞれ許容範囲内にあるか否かを判定する判定手段と上記判定手段により許容範囲内にないと判定された場合上記発光時間補正手段および変調制御手段から上記算出された偏差を補正するための手段を選択する選択手段と上記選択された発光時間補正手段および変調制御手段によって上記現像剤付着量をテスト調整することにより調整操作量に対する偏差制御量の感度を検出する感度検出手段と上記検出した感度に応じて上記発光時間補正手段および変調制御手段の調整操作量を決定する操作量決定手段と上記決定した操作量に応じて上記発光時間補正手段および変調制御手を作動させ上記偏差を補正する手段とを有し全ての偏差が許容範囲に収束するまで上記判定、操作手段の選択、感度検出、操作量決定、および補正を繰り返す制御手段と、
