Description of the Related Art Conventionally, gelatin is filled with water and filled in a cartridge, a metal wire is stored in gelatin, and a large current is instantaneously applied to the metal wire to evaporate the metal wire. An electrothermal chemical apparatus has been proposed in which hydrogen gas is generated by a reaction between a metal vapor and water in gelatin, thereby generating a shock wave to crush rock and concrete. This type of electrothermal chemical device is also used as an actuator for moving an object. As is known, hydrogen has the disadvantage that the specific gravity is extremely small and the crushing force or pressure of the electrothermal chemical device is small.

2 and a cartridge 15 comprising an electrode holder 14 fused to the opening. The cartridge 15 is made of a thermoplastic such as polyethylene having a melting point of 108 to 120 ° C., and is decomposed and vaporized when the cartridge is operated as described later. A gelatin 16 or a gel-like substance (hereinafter referred to as gelatin) is sealed in the cylinder 12, and a coil-shaped electrothermal chemical fuse 18 is housed in the gelatin 16. The electrode holder 14 includes a coil holding portion 14a having a groove 14'a, and holds a central portion of the coil 18 at a predetermined position in the cartridge. Gelatin is impregnated with a mixture of 80-90% by volume of methyl alcohol and 10-20% of ammonia. Gelatin is composed of a higher water resin or an ionic polymer gel. A positive electrode 20 and a negative electrode 22 are supported on the electrode holder 14, and a coil 18 is provided at both ends of these electrodes.
Is connected. The outer diameter of the cartridge 15 is 12 to 15 m
In m, the length is set at 10 to 15 mm, and the coil is selected to have a diameter of 0.1 to 0.3 mm and a length of 20 to 50 mm. The material of the coil is selected from copper, aluminum, and tungsten, and is preferably made of aluminum. The positive electrode 20 is connected via a capacitor 24 and a resistor 26 to a power supply 28 of about 500 watts, the negative electrode of which is
Is connected to the negative electrode 22. When the closing switch 30 is turned on, a large current of 50,000 amps flows from the capacitor 24 to the aluminum coil 18 every 1/1000 second.
At this time, the temperature of the aluminum coil 18 is increased to 600 ° C. or more to evaporate the zetirane, and finally the aluminum coil evaporates and reacts with a mixed gas of methyl alcohol and ammonia. At the same time, the polyethylene cartridge evaporates and becomes gaseous. As a result, a high-pressure gas with a high specific gravity is generated, and 3 per square centimeter is generated.
A shock wave of 00 to 500 tons is generated. The cartridge of the present invention is used by digging and inserting a hole having a diameter of 16 mm and a depth of 40 cm into a bedrock, filling the cartridge with sand and connecting to a power source. In the embodiment, the electrode holder 14 is disclosed as supporting one electrode with two electrodes. However, the electrode holder 14 is divided into two parts, and these parts are incorporated at both ends of the cylinder 12, and each of them is assembled. The electrode may be supported on the part.

Since the generation of blast and dust generated by dynamite is small, it can be applied to construction in urban areas and residential areas where dynamite cannot be used. Moreover, scattering of radioactive materials can be prevented in the dismantling work of an aging nuclear power plant. Using a small camping power supply, the power consumption is less than 1 yen per cartridge, so that the practical effect is high.
