Claims (2)

  1. 硫黄酸化物を含む排ガスと接触させ、上記硫黄酸化物を吸着し酸化して硫酸として回収除去するための活性炭触媒であって、活性炭粉末とフッ素樹脂との混合物に剪断力をかけて混練することによりフッ素樹脂粒子を変形させ、これを所定形状に成形してなるものであり、上記活性炭粉末の粒子間に間隙が形成され、上記間隙の周壁面は生成した硫酸が間隙から容易に排出されるように撥水化されていることを特徴とする活性炭触媒。
  2. 該活性炭粉末の平均粒子径が12〜600μmであり、該フッ素樹脂が上記活性炭粉末に対して0.5〜25重量%含まれる請求項1記載の活性炭触媒。
