【課題を解決するための手段】上記の目的を達成するため、本発明は、酢酸を含有する洗浄廃液を処理する排水処理ユニットであって、内部に炭酸カルシウムを主成分とする処理剤を収納する容器の下部から洗浄廃液を流入させ、上部から流出させることにより、洗浄廃液のpH値を一定範囲内に維持するようにしたことを特徴とする透析装置用の排水処理ユニットである。洗浄排液には、過酢酸と過酸化水素が更に含有されていても良い。炭酸カルシウムとしては、珊瑚砂や寒水石を使用することができ、酢酸や過酢酸の濃度に応じて、更に水酸化カルシウムを添加すれば良い。炭酸カルシウムに水酸化カルシウムを添加する場合には、これを固化したものであれば良い。また、次亜塩素酸ソーダと酢酸とを用いて透析装置を洗浄する場合には、還元剤として亜硫酸カルシウムを添加すれば良く、固化しているものであると良い。
