Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 患者の冠状静脈洞と枝静脈とに血管内デバイスを向けるためのものであり 、 a)基端及び末端と、末端におけるポートと、末端のポートに延在して液体で 結びつく内部ルーメンとを有する細長い軸と、 b)比較的剛性のある基端の軸部と、 c)約1インチ〜約6インチの長さであり、患者の冠状静脈洞に入れることと 冠状静脈洞の方に導く枝静脈をサブセレクションすることを容易にするために形 づくられている比較的柔軟性のある末端部と、 d)細長い軸内に延在している内部ルーメンにアクセスを与える細長い軸の基 端のアダプターとを備えるガイドカテーテル。 2. 拡張可能な閉塞部材をカテーテル軸の末端部に備えている請求項1記載の ガイドカテーテル。 3. 拡張している閉塞部材が、膨張可能なバルーンである請求項2記載のガイ ドカテーテル。 4. カテーテル軸が軸の中に延在している第2の内部ルーメンを有し、バルー ンが第2の内部ルーメンと液体で結びつく内部を有する請求項3記載のガイドカ テーテル。 5. カテーテルの末端部が、約2インチ〜約5インチの長さである請求項1記 載のガイドカテーテル。 6. 基端のカテーテル軸部が、約60(ショア硬さ)〜約85D(ショア硬さ )の硬度を有する重合体材料からできている請求項1記載のガイドカテーテル。 7. 末端の軸部が、約80A(ショア硬さ)〜約30D(ショア硬さ)の硬度 を有する重合体材料からできている請求項1記載のガイドカテーテル。 8. 末端の軸部が、基端の軸部より大きな柔軟性を有する中間部と中間部より 大きな柔軟性を有する末端部とを備える請求項1記載のガイドカテーテル。 9. 中間部が、約30(ショア硬さ)〜約60D(ショア硬さ)の硬度を有す る請求項8記載のガイドカテーテル。 10. 中間部が、約0.5インチ〜約3インチの長さである請求項8記載のガ イドカテーテル。 11. 中間部が拡張可能な閉塞部材を有する請求項8記載のガイドカテーテル 。 12. 拡張可能な閉塞部材が、膨張可能なバルーンである請求項11記載のガ イドカテーテル。 13. カテーテル軸が軸の中に延在する第2の内部ルーメンを有し、膨張可能 なバルーンが第2の内部ルーメンと液体で結びついた内部を有する請求項12記 載のガイドカテーテル。 14. a)患者の冠状静脈洞と、冠状静脈洞から延在している枝静脈に血管内 デバイスを向けるためのものであり、 基端及び末端と、末端におけるポートと、末端のポートに延在して液体で結 びつく内部ルーメンとを有する細長い軸と、 比較的剛性のある基端の軸部と、 約1インチ〜約6インチの長さであり、患者の冠状静脈洞に入れることと冠 状静脈洞の方に導く枝静脈をサブセレクションすることを容易にするために形づ くられている比較的柔軟性のある末端部と、 細長い軸内に延在している内部ルーメンにアクセスを与える細長い軸の基端 のアダプターとを備えるガイドカテーテルと、 b)ガイドカテーテルの内部ルーメン内にスライド可能に配置し、心臓の静脈 内から患者の心臓の電気的アクティビティを検出するためのものであり、細長い 軸と、血管内デバイスの末端にある複数のセンサ電極と、センサ電極に電気的に 接続した導電体とを含む血管内デバイスとを備える血管内のアセンブリ。 15. 血管内デバイスがガイドカテーテルより長く、その結果、センサ電極を 有する血管内デバイスの末端がガイドカテーテルの外へ延在するとき、血管内デ バイスの基端がガイドカテーテルの基端から外に延在する請求項14記載の血管 内アセンブリ。 16. a) 基端及び末端と,末端におけるポートと,末端のポートに延在し て液体で結びつく内部ルーメンとを有する細長い軸と、 比較的剛性のある基端の軸部と、 約1インチ〜約6インチの長さであり、患者の冠状静脈洞に入れることと冠 状静脈洞の方に導く枝静脈をサブセレクションすることを容易にするために形づ くられている比較的柔軟性のある末端部と、 細長い軸内に延在している内部ルーメンにアクセスを与える細長い軸の基端 のアダプターとを有するガイドカテーテルを備えることと、 b) ガイドカテーテルを患者の末梢の静脈系を通って患者の心臓の右心房に 前進させることと、 c) ガイドカテーテルの末端を冠状静脈洞口を通って冠状静脈洞に、そして 冠状静脈洞に排出する枝静脈にガイドすることと、 d) センサ電極を有する血管内デバイスの末端部がデバイスの末端における ポートの外に延在するまで、カテーテルの内部ルーメンを通ってデバイスの末端 部にセンサ電極を有する血管内デバイスを進めることと、 e) 血管内デバイスの末端部にあるセンサ電極によって電気的アクティビテ ィを検出することとを備える患者の心臓の電気的アクティビティを検出する方法 。 17. 電気的アクティビティから生じる不整脈を終わらせるために、感知した 電気的アクティビティを引き起こすか又は深い関係がある心臓組織を除去するこ とを含む請求項16記載の方法。
