Abstract

PURPOSE: Olefins and monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are economically prepared by hydrogenating to high degree heavy hydrocarbon oils containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon in the presence of NiO-WO3 supported on TiO2-SiO2 as catalyst and by pyrolyzing the product.
