Abstract

PURPOSE: To remodel an oil tanker into a ship commonly used for carrying steel blocks and oil, by installing longitudinal and transverse bulkheads respectively on the inside of existing longitudinal and transversal bulkheads of the tanker, with small spaces left therebetween, thereby affording sufficient strength to the remodelled ship.
