Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the discoloration of polymers by the addition of a metal salt of aliphatic carboxylic acid in the preparation of polyesters, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, etc. by the use of a titanium compound, e.g. tetrabutyl titanate as a catalyst.
