Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an air conditioner, which is provided with a fan guard formed integrally with the bell mouth for the fan in the manner that it is located on the outside of the plane at the top of the bell mouth, whereby it is enabled to prevent accidents by the fan.
CONSTITUTION: Fan guard 23 is fixed in place such that it is located on the outside of the plane at the top of bell mouth 22. With such an arrangement, it is possible to avoid such an accident that hand comes into contact with fan unexpectedly. Further, since is does not impose so much resistance to air flow, it is free of troubles such as lowering of air flow rate or increasing of noise generation. Here, any additional members other than the fan guard 23 itself is not required.
