Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a washer, in which grooves are formed in the inner peripheral wall of washing tank respectively at the levels substantially equal to the levels of overflow ports, and these grooves are communicated with respective overflow ports to remove bubbles and suspended matters during rinsing process with continuous supply of water, whereby it is enabled to improve efficiency of rinsing operation and to save water.
CONSTITUTION: In the inner peripheral wall of washing tank 2, there are formed grooves 6, 7 at the levels substantially equal to those of upper and lower overflow ports 10, 8. These grooves 6, 7 are communicated respectively to the overflow 10, 8. During rinsing operation of washer, water surface in the washing tank 2 is depressed at its central portion by the function of centrifugal force caused by pulsator, so that the water surface in tank 2 becomes substanially conical. Under such circumstances, a portion of water in the tank 2 is discharged directly from overflow ports 10, 8, but most of the water flows over bulkheads 11, 12 of grooves 6, 7 and drops into the grooves 6, 7 with water head A. Bubbles and suspended matters like yarns floating on the water surface are drawn into the grooves together with water and discharged to the outside from a suitable outlet.
