Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the safety of the system and to reduce the running cost by providing a circulation pump in a refrigeration cycle to enable cooling operation even when a compressor is stopped.
CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve 10 and a circulation pump 11 are provided in a by-pass pipe 9 which connects an outlet piping 2 and an inlet piping 3 connecting a compressor 1 and a condensor 4 whereby the compressor 1 is stopped and the solenoid valve 10 is opened to run the circulation pump 11 when the external temperature drops below the predetermined level for circulation of the refrigerant in the direction reverse to normal flow. The refrigerant condensed in the condensor 4 is pumped by the circulation pump 11 as a liquid, vaporized in a vaporizer 6 and returned to the condensor 4 via a check valve 8. The running cost is reduced and the danger of running the refrigeration cycle in low externa temperature condition is effectively prevented thereby.
