Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the detachment of an equalizing ring, the breakdown of an anode vein, etc., attending the expansion and contraction of the ring, by providing a groove between the equalizing-ring fixing part and inner edge of the anode vein.
CONSTITUTION: Anode vein cylinder 1 is equipped with several anode veins 21, 22, 23, 24... protruding from the inner circumferential surface toward the center part. Each anode vein has concave groove 5 for fixing two equalizing rings 3 and 4 at its upper and lower edges; and equalizing ring 3 is brazed to odd-numbered anode veins 21, 23..., and equalizing ring 4 to odd-numbered anode veins 22, 24.... Now, anode vein 6 is provided with groove 7 nearly as deep as groove 8 of, for example, 0.5mm in width between fixing part A with small-diameter equalizing ring 3 brazed and inner circumferential edge B. In this way, the buffering effect can be obtained at the part of width W of groove 7 during the operation, especially when equalizing ring 3 of the smaller diameter which becomes hot expands or contracts thermally, so that strong force will not be applied to the fixing part between equalizing ring 3 and anode vein 6.
