Abstract
PURPOSE: A specified amount of solid solution enhancing element such as Si and Mn is added to steel material together with Nb in an amount associated with N and C contents, and the composition steel is hot rolled in finishing stage and wound at a temperature within a specified range, thus providing high tensile cold steel plates having excellent drawability and tensile strength.
CONSTITUTION: The steel contains C<0.02%, Si; 0.5 to 2.0%, Mn; 0.2 to 1.5%, Al; 0.01 to 0.1%, Nb; 0.02 to 0.2%, with an atomic ratio of Nb/(C+N) being 0.8 to 2.0. This composition steel material is uniformly heated at 1200°C, and heat rolled to be finished into steel plate at a temperature above A3 modification point within the range of 150°C. The plate is wound at a temperature above 650°C, pickled, cold rolled to 0.8 mm thick plate and annealed. The resulting high strength cold rolled steel has an excellent drawability and such a strength as 40 to 55 kg/mm2.
