Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a vulcanized elastomer composition which does not show the deterioration of physical properties caused by the phase separation, composed of a fluoroelastomer, a carboxyl group-containing acrylic elastomer, and a vulcanizing composition.
CONSTITUTION: A vulcanizable composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of a mixed elastomer composed of (a) 1W99 parts of a fluoroelastomer such as vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymer and (b) 99W1 parts of a carboxyl group-containing acrylic elastomer, such as ethyl acrylate-mathacrylic acid copolymer, (B) 0.1W10 parts of a vulcanizing agent of the (a) elastomes, comprising an organic compound having a substitution group containing an active hydrogen atom, (C) 0.1W20 parts of a vulcanizing agent of the (b) elastomes, comprising a polyepoxide compound, (D) 0.1W10 parts of a vulcanization accelerator such as a quaternary ammonium salt, a quaternary phosphonium salt, an N-containing heterocyclic compound, a polyamine compound, etc., and (E) 1W40 parts of a vulcanization promoter comprising a metal (hydr) oxide, such as magnesium (hydr) oxide, etc., is heated at about 150W200°C for 1W30 minutes.
