Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize broadly the space in a hold of a ship, to improve the loading and unloading efficiencies, and to reduce the hull weight by dividing the beam post of the ship into a plurality of divisions and constructing capable of removing and assembling readily them.
CONSTITUTION: The beam post in a hold of a ship is divided into a plurality such as two divisions 1, 2 provided with upper deck 3, lower deck 4, seating plates 5, 6 and joint plates 7, 8 thereat. There are also arranged clamping bolt sockets 9 corresponding to the upper and lower decks 3, 4. The divisions 1, 2 are normally coupled by bolts between the upper and the lower decks 3 and 4 to thus support the deck load. When loading or unloading, the bolts are removed to separate the respective divisions 1, 2 to thereby effectively utilize the space in the hold without the post.
