Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a testing liquid and an ion electrode from being contaminated and to make it possible to measure a fine quantity of the testing liquid by dipping the ion electrode under measurement or before the subsequent measurement into the testing liquid or a compensating liquid.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided both an ion electrode 1, which is prepared by combining and integrating Na and Cl electrodes and a reference electrode, and a testing cup 2 which is turned by a motor 3 so that the liquid in the cup is discharged through a tube into a waste bottle 4 by the action of a suction pump 5. A diluting liquid is stored in its container 6, and there is provided a pipe 10 through which the liquid overflown from the diluting liquid in a dilution quantitizing container 8. There are also provided a rolling pump 7 and another rolling pump 9. Furthermore, there is arranged a tube 11 which is connected with an air pump 12 and which has its leading end nozzle 11a disposed in the vicinity of the opening 8a of the quantitizing container 8. A compendating liquid container 13 is filled with a compensating liquid which is a liquid having a lower concentration at the same ratio as that of the testing liquid so as to compensate the measured value. The electrode 1 and the cut 2 are mounted in a constant temperature bath 14.
