PURPOSE:To achieve the improvement of accuracy and widening of measurement place by combining a laser oscillator, photoelectric transducer, time interval measuring instrument, etc. CONSTITUTION:A system control 11, a transmission-reception control circuit 10 and further photoelectric transducers 6, 7, time interval measuring instrument 8,etc. are combined via control circuir 2 to a pulse laser oscillator 1. Then, the light pulses 21 from the outside are inputted via light antenna 5, photoelectric transducer 7 to the time interval measuring instrument 8 to start this and are also inputted to a laser control circuit 2 to induce laser pulses 23. The laser pulses 23 are bisected by a splitter 3 and are inputted as stop signals to the time interval measuring instrument 8 via photoelectric transducer 6. They are also sent out as response signal 16 via reflecting mirror 4 and light antenna 5. Hence, even the small size apparatus makes possible measuring the distance of a satellite.
