Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove the black conductive film on a given region, by forming the black conductive film on the removed film formed on a given region inside the neck of a receiving tube and inside the receiving tube, and by removing the removed film after that.
CONSTITUTION: The removed film 10 formed on a given region of the neck 2 of a receiving tube is removed and the black conductive film 16 on the surface is removed. The formation of the removed film 10 makes clear the non-forming region of the black conductive film 16 and no projection is formed at the edge of the black conductive film 16. Accordingly, the end of the black conductive film 16 is formed biased to the funnel 1, avoiding the deterioration of the high voltage performance of the control electrode of the electron gun. Further the occurrence of discharge of the control electrode of the electron gun is not caused due to the biased formation of the film 16 to the opening of the neck 2 and no peeling of the end of the black conductive film 16 is caused due to the electrode of the electron gun.
