Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect a locked group by delaying a portion of the reproduced signals, which are reproduced from a disc-shaped recording medium, for a time reguired by the one turn of the recording medium and by comparing the resultant delayed signals with the reproduced signals left undelayed.
CONSTITUTION: In a device for reproducing a disc-shaped recording medium 1 which has its surface helically recorded, the reproduced signals from a pickup 2 are demodulated through a signal processing circuit 4. These signals are added as timely delayed signals through a delay circuit 5 to a comparison detecting circuit 6, where they are compared with the signals left undelayed. When the condition of locked group is reached, the pickup means 2 repeatedly traces an identical signal groove. The signals to be taken out of the pickup means 2 are repeated each time reguired by one turn of the recordig carrier 1 so that the undelayed signals become similar to the delayed signals. As a result, the output of a differential amplifier 7 is reduced to zero voltage.
