Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at omission of a ventilating device, by conveying in a long tunnel by means of electric transporting equipment. CONSTITUTION:This equipment comprises the following 2 systems; an electric transporting means which is constituted in such a manner that two electrically- driven bogies 3 and 4, which can travel, are rotatably mounted under a rhomboil bed 2, on which cars can be loaded, through the work of means 5 and 6 which shall burden the load; and travelling passages 19 and 22 on which the transporting means travel. The travelling passages 19 and 22 shall be constructed to allow the bogies 3 and 4 to travel on the same trace at the travelling passage ranging except a terminal zone (B), and to allow the bogies 3 and 4 to travel within the terminal zone (B) with beveled edge of the bed 1 positioned parallel to a running direction. Car loading and unloading platforms 27 and 28 are built within the terminal zone. And thus, cars can be transported in a long tunnel with their engines stopped. This format is capable of preventing air pollution in a tunnel, capable of omitting the ventilating equipment and saving the cost of construction.
