Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize running of magnetic tape outside the cassette by disposing a pair of pins in the positions extened in the transverse direction from a pair of pins restraining the magnetic tape into the cassette.
CONSTITUTION: The tape 4 wound to a supply spool 2 passes between the pins 6, 7 and pins 8, 9 erected on both sides of the notch opening part 5 provided at the front center and lower cover of a cassette 1 and reaches a take-up spool 3. The opening 5 is provided extending up to the vicinity of the inner side of the pins 7, 8 at the cassette lower cover and extending up to the vicinity of the outer side of the pins 6, 9 at its front. When the cassette 1 is mounted to the recorder, the tape 4 is guided from the spool 2 to the pin 6 by turning of levers 14, 19 and goes out of the cassette 1, where it is run along a guide drum 24 by a guide pole 20 and is next changed in the 180° direction by a guide pin 31. After passing a guide pole 15, the tape is taken-up on the spool 3 by being guided with the pin 9. Thereby, the magnetic tape may be stably run outside the cassette.
