Abstract
PURPOSE: A fireproof coating material having improved fireproofness, coating performance, and corrosion resistance, comprising an epoxyresin, phosphate frit, fire-resistant fibers, an aromatic halogen compound flame-retardant, a phosphate, melamine, and an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: A coating material comprising (A) 100 parts by wt. of a liquid epoxy resin and/or epoxy resin, (B) 20W100 parts by wt. of a phosphate frit, (C) 0.5W10 parts by wt. of fire-resistant or flame-retardant fibers, (D) 20W100 parts by wt. of aromatic halogen compound flame-retardant, (E) 20-50 parts by wt. of a phosphate, (F) 5W20 parts by wt. of a compound selected from melamine, dicyandiamide, and urea, and (G) 5W20 parts by wt. of an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol, and (H) an epoxy curing agent.
EFFECT: Applied to the surfaces of metal structures such as iron frames of high buildings and conduits of electric wires and cables.
