Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce consumed power and lengthen the lifetime of a disc reproducer, by providing a time for detecting the time of pause to automatically produce an output signal. CONSTITUTION:When a pause button is operated, a counter 2 is set at a value N by a signal from a control circuit 1. The counter 2 counts down at every time when a clock pulse S1 is applied to the counter. When a play botton, a stop button or a quick run button is operated before the value of the counter becomes zero, the counter is cleared by a signal from a logic circuit 3. When the counter has counted down to zero, a stop signal is supplied from the counter 2 to the control circuit 1 to return the reproducer to the initital state.
