Abstract
PURPOSE:To privide the subject method and device wherein the tire treading length of the travelling wheel is measured as the passing hour of the treading part, whereby the detection of high sensitivity is made possible. CONSTITUTION:Detection elements 11 and 11' which generate variation in the state by the riding of tires on rails 9 and 9' are arranged in positions corresponding to the travelling wheels, thereby comparing hours of the state variations of said detection elements 11 and 11' generated by the travelling of the car and detecting that the value obtained by the comparison is above the predetermined value to detect the lowering of the internal pressure of the tire. According to the above described construction. The tire treading length L and L + 28L of two travelling wheels arranged in parallel to each other are measured a passing hours of the treading part 12. By the comparison of the measured values, in a case where there has been any abnormal lowering in the internal pressure of one of the travelling wheels, this face is detected, whereby the detection of high accuracy becomes possible.
