Abstract

PURPOSE: For quick recovery of liquid level in a storage tank from the abnormal fall thereof, to control the number of ones in operation of a plurality of pumps in accordance with said liquid level.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid level in a storage tank 5 is kept normal with a proper number of a plurality of pumps 2aW2e driven. When said liquid level has become lower than Ls1 due to power failure for example, a liquid level-setting circuit 13 is operated by a liquid level detector 8 to start a first pump, e.g. a pump 2a, after the recovery of power failure, and further second and third pumps, e.g. pumps 2b, 2c, a fixed time after. If said liquid level has become lower than Ls2 (Ls2<Ls1), said liquid-level setting circuit 14 operates to start said first pump 2a, a fixed time after said second and third pumps 2b, 2c, and further a fixed time after fourth and fifth pumps 2d and 2e. Therefore, quick supply can be performed in accordance with the fall of said liquid level.
