Abstract

PURPOSE: A curable mixture that is composed of an epoxy resin and a specific curing agent, thus being stable for long periods of time at room temperature and curing rapidly with relatively mild heat to give products of cured polymer with high toughness.
CONSTITUTION: To (A) 100 parts of an epoxy resin are incorporated 0.2W20 parts of a curing agent that is prepared by reacting an epoxy resin dissolved in a solvent with an excess amount of dialkylamine aqueous solution under heating, then distilling off the unreacted amine, finally reacting the resulting mixture with a phenolic resin of hydroxystrene resin in the presence of a solvent.
