Abstract
PURPOSE: In a device for taking out a liquid from a tank through a pipe, to prevent the sucking-in of water floating on the liquid by placing a water separator pipe opening top and bottom in the tank and by opening a take-out pipe in the separator pipe.
CONSTITUTION: In a dry cleaner, a tank 7 having a volume corresponding to the amount of solvent used for each cleaning operation is partitioned by a vertical partition plate 10 into right and left rooms 11 and 12. A solvent inflow pipe 13 is opened into the room 12, and below it is arranged a water separator pipe 14 having a smaller top opening and a larger bottom opening, with one end of a solvent take- out pipe 15 opending into the pipe 14. In the room 11 is placed an overflow pipe 19 opening at a level slightly higher than the top edge of the plate 10. In cleaning, the solvent in the tank 7 is taken out through the pipe 15. The water floating on the solvent is provented from flowing into the pipe 15 by the presence of the pipe 14.
