Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve atomizing efficiency and save power consumption by the use of a ultrasonic vibrator element for producing vibration in both side directions to utilize effectively both wide surface areas of the vibrator element for atomizing liquid with on the both surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: When current with 1 to 2 MHz ultrasonic frequency is supplied from a high frequency power source 10 under the condition of high liquid level, a vibrator element 16 provided on both sides with electrode plates 17, 17 produces ultrasonic vibration in the opposite directions to the electrode plates 17, 17. Since the vibrator element 16 is immersed in liquid 2 within a immersion hole 13 only at the lower end, this liquid 2 is sucked up along the surface of electrode plates 17, 17. The liquid sucked up by this capillery action to vacuum portion of the electrode plates 17, 17 is attached to the whole surface of the electrode plates 17, 17 by vibration to form liquid posts P, P on both surfaces of the vibrator element 16. Thus the liquid 2 can be efficiently atomized on both surfaces of the vibrator element 16.
