PURPOSE:To enable correction of the time, calendar, etc. to be readily and accurately performed by controlling flicker operations according to the operating state of a button in a liquid crystal display type electronic wristwatch, etc. CONSTITUTION:In an ordinary watch, the signal from an oscillation part 8 is frequency divided 9 and is counted 10, and the specified time is displayed 14 via second, minute, hour decoder block 12. When clock signal 2a is applied to an input control block, the display performs flickering of the digits of the second, then the flickering digits may be changed to the minute, hour, second by the select signal 3a. On the other hand, counting of the flickering digits is made prossible by the set signal 4a and automatic counting is accomplished by continuous inputting of the signal 4a, at the same instant of which a control circuit 13 is driven to stop flickering of the display. As a result, the correction may be performed accurately and rapidly.
