Abstract

PURPOSE: To damp vibration of a moving vane by bringing an impact or friction between it and a small-quantity element relatively moving which is inserted in a hole in the moving vane.
CONSTITUTION: A hole 2a is through a mvong vane 2, in which a small-quantity element 3 moving relatively with the moving vane 2 is inserted. For relative motion of the small-quantity 3 with the moving vane, the diameter of the element insertd on the hole 2a of the moving vane is smaller than that of the hole and the axial length is longer than that of the hole 2a. That allows radial, circumferential, and axial direction movements of the small-quantity element 3 in the hole 2a. When the moving vane 2 vibrates, the small-quantity element 3 makes relative motion to absorb the vibration energy of the moving vane so that the vibration of the turbine moving vane can be damped.
