Abstract

PURPOSE: A great-volume-discharging compact fluid compression machine where a rotor is put concentrically within a cylindrical worm and includes a pinion.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical worm 1 and side housings 6, 7 enclose a rotatable rotor 2 connected with shafts 3, 4. The shafts are held at the center by bearings 8, 9 attached on the casings 6, 7. The rotor 2 involves a pinion 5 with its core at right angle with those shafts 3, 4 and some gears 501 of the pinion 5 are kept in mesh with other gears 101 made on the internal wall of the worm 1. Fluid led from a suction port 10 is compressed while the pinion 5 turns in engagement with the gear 101 and fed out through a passage 11 and discharge port 16.
