As the suction port 2 is arranged tangentially to the inside of the casing 1, air goes down to the lower end of an accelerating electrode pipe 6 turning round between the casing 1 and an opposing electrode 4. While going down, positively charged dust is drawn and sticked to the casing 1 electrically and mechanically and cleaned air alone passes through the accelerating electrode pipe 6 and is exhausted from an exhaust port 10. By removing a cover 7 and the accelerating electrode pipe 6, the casing 1 alone is left and dust sticked to the casing 1 can be removed easily.
