Abstract
PURPOSE: The title converter comprising a coking zone which converts the hydrocarbons to a fuel oil and a high calorific fuel gas, a separator to separate the fuel oil and the fuel gas produced in the coking zone, a gasification zone which converts the coke to a low-calorific fuel gas or a raw gas suitable for the production of hydrogen, and a molten salt regeneration zone placed between the coking zone and the gasification zone.
CONSTITUTION: Heavy oil and steam are heated in a preheater 1, mixed with molten salt from the molten salt tank 2, and introduced to the coking zone 3, where the heavy oil is carbonized and a part of the sulfur compound is made to react with the molten salt. The cracked oil, cracked gas and steam are separated by a separator 4, and transferred to the desulfurizing plant through the line 5 and the cooler 6 to obtain pollution-free fuel oil and a high-calorific fuel gas. The produced coke and the molten salt are introduced to the molten salt regeneration zone 7, where the molten salt is regenerated by the CO2 gas and steam ascending from the lower gasification zone 10. The coke dispersed in the regenerated molten salt is gasified in the gasification zone 10 by oxygen or air and steam to obtain a low-calorific fuel gas or a gas for the production of hydrogen.
