Abstract
PURPOSE: To make temperature gradient in fuel elements large, by flowing in a coolant in a gap between an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder from a low-pressure plenum portion.
CONSTITUTION: A coolant for cooling fuel element bundles in an inner cylinder 4 is flowed in from an inflow port 20 of a high-pressure plenum 31, and flowed out from an outflow hole 21. The coolant flowed to a gap 5 between the inner cylinder 4 and an outer cylinder 1 is flowed in from an inflow hole 22 of a low-pressure plenum 32. The gap portion 5 ensures little fluid resistance, does not form cavitation, accurately controls little flow rates and can make temperture gradient in the fuel element bundles large.
