Abstract
PURPOSE:To establish the higher current switch usable both for AC and DC rich in general purpose and low cost, by selecting one of AC or DC power supply as the power supply, and by separating the OFF-gate circuit of the gate turn off thyristor when the AC power supply is selected. CONSTITUTION:When the power supply is DC1, the OFF-gate circuit 47 of the gate drive circuit 33 is not separated to function the gate turn-off thyristor GTO 32, and when the power supply is AC11, the GT032 is naturally turned off by separating the circuit 47. If the restriction of surge due to load energy should be considered, the load 2 is provided with two surge restriction circuits 6 and 21 for DC and Ac, and the selector switch 31 selecting one surge circuit is provided, depending on the power supply, whether AC or DC. As a result, the high current type switch both for AC and DC can be obrained, which is rich in general purpose and low cost.
