Abstract

PURPOSE: To readily and highly accurately measure hole position, etc. by performing optical detection of the roundness of the hole of the ground metal on a table moving in orthogonal two directions and measurement of the hole position by the converted coordinates based on the ground metal by way of a computer.
CONSTITUTION: The coordinates of the intersecting points A thru D of the straight line parallel to the coordinate axis of a table 1 of the reference hole of the ground metal placed on the X-Y table 1 are determined by an optical detecting part 4 and a counter 3 and are stored in a register 5 by way of a computer 10 according to the command of an on-line auxiliary memory device 9. From this value, the roundness of the reference hole and the coordinates by the coordinate axis of the table 1 of the center 0 are detected by the computer 10 and device 9 and the goodness or not thereof is judged. When the detection and judgement of the direction hole is performed in a similar manner, the coordinate conversion based on the ground metal with the center of the reference hole as an origin and the straight line connecting the center of both holes as one of the coordinate axes is accomplished by the computer 10, thus the position, roundness, etc. of the other hole of the ground metal are highly accurately measured automatically through easy operation by the computer 10.
