Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the tensile stress having been applied on optical fiber cords from being applied to optical fiber cores by fixing the connection parts of the optical fiber cores and tension-resistant members near both ends of a case in such a manner as to give a slack to the optical fiber cores. CONSTITUTION:In the case of connecting optical fiber cores by using a V-groove, optical fiber cores 2, 2' are first aligned of axes on the V-groove and are bonded and fixed by means of an adhesive agent. Next, tension resistance materials 3, 3' are contained in the other groove provided to a case 6 and are bonded and fixed by means of an adhesive agent. At this time, the cores 2, 2' are slacked on both sides of the case 6 and with this slack being held maintained, the optical fiber cores 2, 2' and tension resistant materials 3, 3' are bonded and fixed respectively by means of an adhesive agent at the fixing parts 7, 7' on both sides of the case 6.
